Create a 12- to 14-slide presentation describing how taxonomies, such as the Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine (SNOMED), Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC), and RXNorm, are used to share data. Focus on the underlying value of these standards and how they might improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data communication and interoperability. Your presentation should:

  • Differentiate between clinical standards and administrative standards.
  • Define communications standards, such as HL7 and CCDA and why these standards are necessary and valuable.
  • Discuss the impact on clinical quality in a setting where these standards are not used
